Empowerment

Nadeya Daniel

A few years ago, I traveled to different states conducting workshops developed around my book, Pillars of Hope. I had the honor of being invited to Vision and Beyond Christian Ministry in Rock Hill, SC, to facilitate a workshop.

After the workshop, I was introduced to the phenomenal Nadeya Daniel. She was rehearsing a skit with some of the youth who attend the ministry, and I stood in awe watching as she passionately spoke to them about doing their best and achieving their dreams.

I also had the opportunity to attend a worship service at Vision and Beyond Christian Ministry the following day and was extremely blessed as Nadeya ushered in the presence of God as she danced and worshipped before the Lord. Nadeya’s dedication to empowering the youth, being a beacon of hope to other women, and being a positive leader in her community is why she is this month’s featured woman of empowerment.

Nadeya Daniel was born in Aiken, SC, and raised in Fort Mill, SC. Nadeya currently lives with her husband, Freddie Daniel, and their 3 children in Rock Hill, SC.

As a child, she always dreamed of having her own childcare center. As the years passed, the dream of having her own childcare center became a faded memory in her mind. During her high school years, Nadeya began to shift her interest to nursing after watching her mother, who is a nurse, gracefully provide care to her clients.

Joining the military like her father was another career path she considered. Traveling around the world, and experiencing different cultures and cuisines were some of the reasons her father enjoyed the military, and Nadeya wanted to have those same experiences.

Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, Nadeya was not permitted to join the military. Nadeya was disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to follow in her father’s footsteps and begin her military career. However, this setback was an opportunity for her to realign with her childhood dream of owning a childcare center.

With a renewed passion for her childhood dream, Nadeya earned an associate’s degree and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development from Purdue University. After a failed job opportunity to become a director of a childcare center in June of 2021, Nadeya saw it as a sign from God to start her own childcare business.

Refusing to no longer put her dreams in the hands of others, Nadeya trusted God and stepped out in faith to start her Imagine Me Childcare business in her home on August 16, 2021. Her heart’s desire to see young children use their imagination to learn, grow, and develop into who God called them to be inspires her to show up every day.

The youth and young adults also have a special place in Nadeya’s heart, which led her to start her non-profit, Youth Dreaming Big. Many of the youth that Nadeya encountered weren’t living out their dreams, so through her non-profit, she aims to provide a support system and equip them with resources to help them achieve their dreams.

In addition to helping children thrive, Nadeya is also a certified life coach and mentor to women. She also received the Women Entrepreneurship certification from eCornell-Cornell University.

The road to success has not been an easy one for Nadeya. She has triumphed through the loss of a stillborn child, divorce, and becoming a single mother. Venturing into entrepreneurship has posed its own challenges, but Nadeya never gave up on her dream. Having faced tremendous loss in her life, Nadeya is a woman who continues to rise above every obstacle that crosses her path!

Despite the disappointment, hurt, and pain she has endured, she has accomplished so much in her lifetime. Her greatest achievements are becoming a mother and business owner, earning her associate degree, becoming an anointed prophetic dancer, and being featured in Rejoicing Hope Magazine.

As this humanitarian is making bold moves in her own life, she is also committed to making her mark in the world by continuing to give back to help youth and women from all walks of life thrive and succeed. As Nadeya is inspiring others, she receives inspiration from her mother. She describes her mother as a quiet yet explosive woman of God who is always ready to encourage and uplift others.

With a wealth of wisdom, Nadeya’s advice to women on their journey to achieving their dreams is “to keep God first, keep moving, keep pushing, keep striving. Hold your head up high because your next step is a step higher than where you are. Only step down to help another woman get to where you are.”

A hero in her own right, Nadeya is creating a legacy where she transforms the lives of women and children and pleases God in all that she does. She wants to be remembered as a woman who always kept a smile on her face everywhere she went.
