The Truth Bearer

Voice of endless inner chatter

Suggesting lies, saying I don’t matter

Looked at myself, then looked at others

Always fell short, I discovered

Those lies, those terrible lies

My worst enemy, dressed up in disguise

Now, I make it a habit, my duty

To speak in truth, walk in my beauty

My clothes still look nice, hair looks good

But now, I talk to myself the way I should

Tapped into gold, priceless wealth

I’ve finally learned to love myself
