A true friend is someone who cares about you,
someone who pushes you and motivates you,
someone who sees you at the best and worst,
the highs and lows, but they love you anyway.
A true friend is someone who pours into you,
someone who gives you their time, their attention,
and their affection. When you have a true friend,
you never have to guess where you stand.
My grandmother Julene Northan is my true friend.
She has been my strength when I needed her.
She is the most selfless person I know and
she has always been there when I needed her
to laugh, to talk, and sometimes cry.
She has never judged me for my mistakes.
Instead she encouraged me and motivated me.
She believed in me through the storms and pushed me
into greatness. Because she believed in me. I am my true friend.
I am a Mother.
I am a Sister.
I am a Leader.
I am a Coach.
I am a World Changer.
When it comes to true friends,
some may not be family,
but whoever you choose,
make sure this person is a light—
a light that shines so bright
it won’t let you stay in darkness,
my true friend.
I honor my best friend who put me through college,
who told me who I could be
when I could not see it myself.
She is a Proverbs 31 woman.
She is my rock, my confidant,
my true friend.
Because she is, I can be.
She is my permission to be great.
She is my example of where I want to be in life.
She is my role model of how to be a wife and mother.
I forever honor her as a queen.
My heart, ,my beautiful Shero,
my queen,
my true friend.
