Sharon Williams calls Birmingham, AL, home. She was born in the South but raised in the North. She has learned a lot from observing people, which led her into the area of Human Resources, Sharon considers herself somewhat of a perfectionist. However, she is not picky when it comes to great food, especially seafood. Sharon is a lover of knowledge, which is why she believes intelligence is sexy. She is also energized by peaceful and quiet spaces.
Sharon is the CEO and founder of Real Beauty A to Z, LLC. She helps women break the bondage of negative self-image, embrace their God-given uniqueness, and become all they were created to be. As a parallel-preneur Sharon works in human resources, and she is also building her dream at the same time. This remarkable woman found herself feeling unfulfilled at her day job and desiring more for herself. Sharon knew deep down in her heart that she was called to experience greater. To fulfill this yearning on the inside of her, she took the leap and published her first book titled The ABCs of Real Beauty. Sharon continues to work at her day job to support her dream, not wanting to prematurely leap into full-time entrepreneurship and lose everything. Once she has multiple streams of income flowing she plans to pursue operating in her business full-time.
As a successful woman in business, Sharon’s greatest task is learning how to manage her time. She is learning daily how to balance being a mother and businesswoman. Making sure she takes care of herself is also a priority for Sharon as she maintains her responsibilities at work and home and in her business. Sharon knows that being healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually is key to her ability to show up and give her all whether at work, at home, or in her business.
Sharon’s dedication to be all that she can be has led her to accomplish more than she ever imagined. Graduating college with her Bachelor of Arts degree was a huge milestone for her since she was raised by a mother who never received her high school diploma. Publishing her first book and being able to add best-selling author to her resume has made her very proud. Her greatest achievement and joy is being a mother to her son. Sharon knows there is more for her to accomplish, so she wakes up every day ready to take on the world.
Sharon is a Change Agent. She changes mindsets and helps women see themselves in a more positive light. Her passion to help women see their true beauty and live in their truth fuels, Sharon. She believes that when she stands in a room among a group of women and does not hear negative thoughts about themselves or other women, her mission is complete. When she sees young women demonstrating their leadership, standing in their own uniqueness and brilliance, without the need to show their nakedness, she knows she has made an impact that will last forever. While she is inspiring others, Sharon is inspired by our First Lady Michelle Obama. She admires Michelle Obama’s ability to stay classy and poised as she is ridiculed, belittled, and often times disrespected.
Sharon’s advice to those of us pursuing our dreams is to take the first step. Even if it is not perfect, you will never get there for sure if you don’t give it a try. Ask yourself, “What’s the worse thing that can happen?” Nine times out of ten, that thing will never happen—and even if it does, it’s not the end of the world.
Sharon desires to leave a legacy that shows how she changed the world, changed the lives of many, taught women how to love themselves inside out. And most of all that she gave it her best and she was a person of integrity and authenticity.
