But Jesus still heard my cry.
God sent a valiant soldier

I was powerless to fight,
Lost in the darkness of night
I was in the devil’s grasp
My deliverance was no simple task
He held on tight
With all his might
Till little by little, step by step
The devil’s challenge was met
Finally, the chains were broken
This spoken word is just a token
Of my attitude
Of immeasurable gratitude
For the valiant soldier

Fought the good fight
To set my life right
Now it’s my turn
To let my heart burn
As I carry my sword and shield
On the battle field
As I fight the good fight
To set others’ lives right.
Now I’m God’s answer to others’ cries.
