Ode to Moms

To the mothers out there in the world-

A mom is truly special,

resilient and steadfast,

the essence of pure class.

Mothers do the impossible

always seeing the glass as full.

Challenge after challenge, moms come out on top.

Mothers go, go, go and never stop.

Mothers are the rock that holds the family together

because a mother truly knows the meaning of the word together.

The sacrifices we see and the sacrifices we never see,

mothers always think about what is good for the family.

Amazing often times does not describe what a mother has to do.

When we need support, Mom is always there to get us through.

Instruction and correction given fast and furious,

mothers protect us when we are reckless and curious.

A mother will be the backbone when no one else will

and still,

we often fail to give mothers the proper amount of respect.

So this is straight from my mouth, live and direct.

I appreciate and love all mothers, but none greater than my own.

My mom has shown me, given me an example, of what a great mom should be.

And to put it in greater perspective, there have been generations upon generations

of great mothers before my mom who handled every situation

with much less and yet they still past every test.

Here is a thank you for every mom from the bottom of my heart.

Without you, a great family could never start.

And here is an I love you

just to show my appreciation for you.

Have a great day, this day and every day.

May you be blessed in every way.

And I said before, but I’ll say it again.

From my heart, there is no end

to the number of times I can say,

thank you.
